Answer:
There are three versions of this chair. Please see comparison chart at the end of this product page for more details. The Gaming Chair ED-GM-5CH has a back that is 18" wide x 21" high and seat that is 19.75" wide x 17-18.5" deep . The EX and the XT version of this chair however have a taller back - 18" wide x 24.5" high and the XT also has a deeper seat - 19.75" wide x 21" deep. Based on these specs, you can decide if you need a taller back and a deeper seat. The one thing we may recommend is a heavier 6" cylinder compared to the standard 5". However we've had 6'4" tall users who have stuck with 5" cylinders too.

Question:
Hey, I was reading the return policy on the Office Master chair products you carry. I saw that none of these are returnable for a refund. It's hard to justify such a high price without the option to return, as that is a very high cost gamble without being able to sit in the chair first. I have no idea if the adjustments of this chair will suit me at all. Can exceptions be made in certain cases?

Answer:
The reason there is a no return on these chairs is because every chair is custom made to order since each customer chooses their own fabric color, casters, cylinders etc. Everything is built to order based on the customer's specific picks. Therefore if Officemaster accepted the returns they would not be able to re-sell those chairs. In some cases they do take them back but with a 35% re-stock fee and the customer would be responsible to ship the chair back.

If I purchase Humanscale 900 platform with 5GSM arm mechanism and 16" track, will the keyboard tray retract fully under my desk which is 18" deep?

Answer:
For the keyboard tray to retract fully under a desk, there needs to be 22” of space and 22” of track. With the space you have, the 16” track will allow your keyboard tray to retract under the desk, however it will not retract fully and the edge will stick out.

Can this product support a two-in-one 15" laptop? The dimensions of my laptop are 13.5" wide, 9.75" deep and 0.75" thick. Does the back of this product have VESA mounting holes?

The EVO5501 supports laptops up to 17" wide. So it is compatible with your laptop. Also the 0.75" thickness of your laptop will allow it to be clipped to the holder. This holder has a VESA pattern in the back which enables it to attach to any arm with a 75 x 75mm and 100 x 100 mm VESA hole pattern.

The laptop sits on the tray and is held there by a non-slip foam pad that prevents it from slipping. However this particular tray does not have the ability to let the laptop fold parallel to the wall. If you want a wall mount arm with a foldable laptop tray, here's the product for you. With the wall mount, you have a choice of different extension arms (8", 8.5", 12.5", 17") and laptop tray enables the laptop to fold parallel to the wall.

I have 3 questions about this product. What are the dimensions of the keyboard tray? Is there an option to have an adjustable keyboard tray? Is there a monitor kit that can accomodate 3 monitors?

1) The dimensions of the keyboard tray (that is part of the WorkFit-TL) are 27.5"wide x 11" deep. This tray width accomodates a standard keyboard (18" width) and one mouse (on right or left) with enough space to move the mouse. 2) Yes, there is an option to install an additional keyboard tray that is adjustable. Please look at Option 8. We have provided this additional option to our customers so that they can get the comfort of keyboard tray going under the desktop even while sitting. This keyboard tray is not a part of WorkFit-TL. The keyboard tray (that is a part of WorkFit-TL) works perfectly for standing as it suspends 4.5" below the worksurface. This enables your elbows to be at 90 degrees while typing in a standing position. But when you want to sit and work, the keyboard tray of the WorkFit-TL rests on top of the desktop, raising your elbows and shoulders to a position that is not relaxed. This causes ache in your forearms and pain in shoulders. The adjustable keyboard tray ED-SFC2135BL is not a part of WorkFit-TL and installs underneath the desktop. It has the ability to fully retract under the desk (provided there is 18" clearance under the tabletop) and lowers keyboard 3.5" below desktop and elevate 1.5" above the desktop. 3) Unfortunately we do not offer a monitor kit that can mount 3 monitors at this time.

I am 5'2" and 130lb and wondering if this would be a good desk gaming/office chair. Is the chair flexible to different positions? And do the arm rest move in and out or is it only up/down/tilt in and out?

The OM5 is very flexible when it comes to different positions. In fact, it has a unique sliding mechanism that allows the angle of your back to be adjusted based on how much pressure you lean back with. Since you are 5'2", we recommend you get the smaller 4" cylinder (Option #6). We have two options for armrests on this chair: height adjustable only (model A) and height adjustable with pivoting inward and forward/backward sliding (RP-45). Is this arm wall-mountable? I only see the clamp and grommet mount selection.

Wall mounting this PA1500-DB Monitor arm is not recommended. The reason being, it extends out so far that post mounting a monitor, it can possibly rip out the wall mount. That is why only C-clamp or Grommet mount is recommended. A wall mounting alternative to PA1500-DB is PA1000 Poise, which has a wall mounting as well as slatwall mounting option.

Since you are looking for a sit-stand workstation (for a 6 foot, 1" user) I recommend a workstation with minimum 20” height adjustment. Chief Kontour K1C22HB/S is not a sit-stand workstation for a tall person. Ergotron ED-LX2-SitStand WorkFit Dual Monitor Workstation is a dual monitor workstation with 20" height adjustment and a good candidate for sit-stand. This stool comes with a standard 8" cylinder that allows the seat to be 25-33" off the floor. If that measurement tallies with your console height, this stool could work for you. The back of the seat normally comes in a black plastic shell (backside of the back, not the side that your back rests on). You can choose to have this backside of the back upholstered. That's what "upholstery back" means.

I have two questions about this Ergotron product. First question is my user is 5'7", will this work as a sit/stand option with the pole only being 16"? Secondly, with the dual monitor kit, how heavy can both monitors be and the arm still articulate for sitting/standing?

Even though the pole is only 16", this arm will work as a sit-stand option for your user. If you add a dual monitor kit, the weight capacity of the arm will reduce from 30 lbs to 24 lbs as the dual monitor kit adds 6 lbs weight of its own. Also both the monitors need to be between 17-24" in screen size with an outside width of 14-24.5". Even if you add the dual monitor kit, arm will still articulate for sitting/standing, that is, 20" height adjustment.

How can I tell which seat (freedom or pony saddle) is best for me? I am a medium frame, 5'4", 160lbs and want to use this stool for extended work, leaning over work table doing crafts, writing. Also frequent moving around to access crafting tools and supplies. I have lower back pain and some knee issues, so looking for adjustable height to get me above the work so I don't have to stand to look down at what I'm doing. I also work at two table heights, normal, and higher height table for cutting fabric.

Answer:
The decision for the Saddle vs the Pony seat is one of a personal preference. It doesn’t really have anything to do with the size of the person, but the comfort of the person. Having said that, however, we think you would need a high cylinder with an 18” footring if you choose the pony and a 21” footring for the saddle. This will have the seat height range of 19.9”- 27.5”. This we feel would be best to go to the two height ranges you are looking for (assuming your table heights are no higher than 40”). Please note that neither will help with your back pain as they offer no back support.
