Description
EDM-2x49 Freestanding Desktop Stand offers a secure, functional, and convenient mounting solution for 24" to 49" ultra-wide curved monitors, ideal for gaming and streaming, security, control rooms, and trade market applications. The unique design allows (2) monitors to be stacked in a 1x2 layout to maximize the ability to simultaneously view multiple sources. A built-in adjustment knob allows the user to precisely position the monitors to eliminate any gap between the bezels. The two bolt Hook-and-Hang design allows monitors to be quickly installed or removed when maintenance is required. 4 stars because I have 3 slight issues.
1) There is no mechanism with this device as an option to secure it to the desk or table it sits on. Even as heavy as these 2 monitors and stand are, with the extensive height bumping into the top or even pressing on the top monitor (say for cleaning) can make you seriously wonder if it is going on over the back. Nice idea, but it needs an option to secure it to the table or something if you don't have a wall to back the stand-up and prevent it from going over backward.
2) There needs to be a couple of centimeters (inches) more room separation between the monitors. Either the lower monitor needs to be adjustable like the top (it's fixed in place which I don't care for, or the upper needs a little more upward movement) Particularly when in concert with item 1, and if you have no helper to mount these units. Putting the 2nd monitor in place while trying not to tip it over is nerve-wracking at best.
3) The plastic or vinyl inserts that the clamping mechanism "pinches" against the pipe are a little sketchy for my taste. If you are older like me, trying to tighten those devices down tight enough with that little knob you might not get them as tight as they need to be to hold securely these extra heavy monitors. I thought I had it set properly and as soon as I had the upper monitor placed, it started sliding down onto the lower monitor. Now, try and figure out by yourself how to lift a 49" curved monitor from chest height up off that clamping mechanism, from the front, where you can't see the clamp tilt angle to see if you are disengaged before pulling it out, and then trying to slide the clamp and tighten and replace all the while the stand slides back on the desk further and further every time you bump it?
Many exciting words were spoken.
At any rate, would I recommend this stand? absolutely, no question. Would I buy it again? absolutely.
I just think it needs some rethinking from an installation perspective. Once everything is set in place, it's fine.

Peerless Industries, Inc. (Peerless-AV) warrants to original end-users of
Peerless-AV products that Peerless-AV products will be free from defects in
material and workmanship, under normal use, for the periods listed below, from
the date of purchase by the original end-user. At its option, Peerless-AV will
repair or replace with new or refurbished products or parts, or refund the
purchase price of, any Peerless-AV product which fails to conform with this
warranty.
In no event shall the duration of any implied warranty of merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose be longer than the period of the applicable
express warranty set forth above. Some states do not allow limitations on how
long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by (a) service or repairs by the
customer or a person who is not authorized for such service or repairs by
Peerless-AV, (b) the failure to utilize proper packing when returning the
product, (c) incorrect installation or the failure to follow Peerless-AV’s
instructions or warnings when installing, using or storing the product, or (d)
misuse or accident, in transit or otherwise, including in cases of third-party
actions and force majeure. This warranty also does not cover corrosion or rust
resulting from damaged, scratched or chipped paint or other surfaces.
In no event shall Peerless-AV be liable for incidental or consequential damages
or damages arising from the theft of any product, whether or not secured by a
security device which may be included with the Peerless-AV product. Some states
do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages,
so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, and is the
sole remedy with respect to product defects. No dealer, distributor, installer
or other person is authorized to modify or extend this Limited Warranty or
impose any obligation on Peerless-AV in connection with the sale of any
Peerless-AV product.
This warranty gives specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state.
