Carmel is another line of RFM Chairs with an impressive array of options available for every feature. Carmel Medium Back Chair has 5 choices for chair mechanisms, 9 types of seats, 4 options for seat foam, 3 kinds of lumbar support and 7 options for cylinders. Available in 3 back sizes, Medium, Manager’s High Back and Executive High Back and one Big & Tall chair, Carmel’s highlight is its narrow and tapering backrest with a thoracic ridge. With arms allowed to stretch, and shoulder blades resting in a natural position, the unique shape of the backrest promotes freedom of movement and open shoulders. Carmel features a pear-shaped backrest, ensuring your shoulders remain free from constant contact with the upper part of the chair. It provides excellent support for your spine while keeping your shoulders comfortably away from the chair back.
Most office or task chairs are offered with an option for one mechanism. But Carmel Medium Back offers Synchro-Tilt as well as Multi-Function mechanisms. If you want more adjustability and many locking positions, Multi-Function mechanism should be your choice. Go with Synchro-Tilt if you want a rocking motion while keeping your feet flat on the floor.
Carmel is sold with different sizes of flat seats and tractor seats as well as flat foam, memory foam and a seat pommel (seat elevation in the center) without having to buy a tractor seat.
