When we think of ergonomic furniture, we assume it refers to office furniture. But how many times have you been at a large gathering, a corporate meeting, a wedding or a school play, where the chairs are unbearable to sit on for more than a few minutes? It seems like these uncomfortable chairs have been in these meeting rooms and convention centers for ages.
Now a new concept has come along in stacking chairs. These are adjustable side chairs, which can be used anywhere at a public place, or an event but still provide ergonomic comfort. The seat on these chairs glides back and forth and the back adjusts to provide much needed support.

Just because these chairs do not have a fixed, specific user, it does not mean they have to be uncomfortable, rigid and made of hard plastic. The chairs are universal in their usage and they can find use at the following venues –
- Office waiting rooms
- Medical centers
- Concerts
- Government office waiting rooms
- Graduation ceremonies
- Hotel Banquet Halls for special events
- Conference/Meeting rooms
- Coffee shops
- Libraries
- Rental supplies for convention centers
Imagine going to an all day seminar and not squirming in your chair while you stare at your watch. Think about going to church and being able to pay attention to a sermon without feeling a tinge in your back or attending a wedding where you aren’t simply sitting in a flimsy plastic chair that feels like it can collapse at any moment. Forget feeling so tight and fidgety while trying to pay attention to a Power Point presentation! When you’re comfortable in your chair you can actually take in what is happening at an event without worrying about aches and pains.
These stacking chairs come in two varieties.
The ED-GL4-SD in its polyflex shell comes in seven eye-popping colors, which can brighten up any area. By stacking 15 chairs at a time, you can save space too. You can add casters and fabric upholstery to the back as well as seating for additional comfort.
The ED-GL2-SD is the second variety which stacks to a maximum of three chairs. The difference between the ED-GL4 and ED-GL2 is the number and shape of the legs. The ED-GL2 also comes in a cafe stool variety.
